Session Spotlight Volume 1: Hansel

I've decided that what this blog really needs is... well, content! :)  I'm terrible about updating regularly, and I'm trying to become a better blogger, as I also become a better photographer. To that end, I've decided to start featuring some of my favorite photos of each session that I do.

This session was done on April 1, 2012, at Bernheim Forest in Clermont, Ky near Bardstown. Bernheim is definitely a favorite location of mine- there are beautiful flower gardens, flowing fields, trees, lakes, wildlife... It is the absolute perfect backdrop for most any session. (And only about a 20 minute drive from my house. Well, 15, if you drive like me!) The clients are a friend of mine and his two children, and we really had a lot of fun! Here are a few of my favorite shots of the day.

I love this shot- the way the light shines around her hair, the bit of haze from the sun, the bokeh in the water....  So pretty!

I love this one- he didn't want to do this pose with his sister, but it came out really cute! 

My favorite of him.... Love the "oh geeze get the camera away from me" smile, and those big blue eyes!

Newborn Photography- Emma

Here are a few shots from my shoot with Emma (that's her mommy in the previous "Maternity" post!!)















Isn't she sweet? Like to never got her to sleep... :/  Of all the sessions I've done, newborns are definitely the most difficult- but then I have an excuse to cuddle sweet little babies, so it has it's perks!
