Session Spotlight Volume 1: Hansel

I've decided that what this blog really needs is... well, content! :)  I'm terrible about updating regularly, and I'm trying to become a better blogger, as I also become a better photographer. To that end, I've decided to start featuring some of my favorite photos of each session that I do.

This session was done on April 1, 2012, at Bernheim Forest in Clermont, Ky near Bardstown. Bernheim is definitely a favorite location of mine- there are beautiful flower gardens, flowing fields, trees, lakes, wildlife... It is the absolute perfect backdrop for most any session. (And only about a 20 minute drive from my house. Well, 15, if you drive like me!) The clients are a friend of mine and his two children, and we really had a lot of fun! Here are a few of my favorite shots of the day.

I love this shot- the way the light shines around her hair, the bit of haze from the sun, the bokeh in the water....  So pretty!

I love this one- he didn't want to do this pose with his sister, but it came out really cute! 

My favorite of him.... Love the "oh geeze get the camera away from me" smile, and those big blue eyes!

I took a series of photos of the moon tonight. I set my tripod, positioned the moon in the lower left of my viewfinder, and snapped a shot every 30 seconds for 10 minutes. At the end of 10 minutes, the moon had traveled all the away across to the upper right of the frame! I was messing around in Photoshop with the resulting images, and made this nifty lil gif! :)
